I've been crazy busy recently, mostly work and iPhone development. Can't complain really, it's exciting and I enjoy it very much. Sometimes I like these small weekend projects that simply connects to an API and uses iPhone technology to improve on it somehow. Enter Foreclosures, I stumbled upon a nice new API at foreclosurelistings.com and tried contacting them. It was hard at first because they seemed to have a generic contact us form so I'm sure my emails where getting lost internally somewhere or in the interwebs floating around. Finally after a couple attempts I was emailed back and was surprised to hear that they were excited about the idea and couldn't wait to see it. They made a couple changes to their API to accommodate my needs THAT day and I was off coding.

The API was great and gave me no issues at all, I got the whole thing coded over the weekend and was ready to apply graphics and colors.I had a rough week at work and freelance stuff so didn't get time to work on it that week but as soon as the weekend hit I took that whole Saturday to throw a logo, icon and graphics together. I slept on the finished product (I always do that to see if I still like it in the AM), I woke up and tested it out and still liked it. So later that afternoon I submitted it to Apple for approval. About 4 days later I get the Apple email saying its ready for the App store, I released it that day for free under the Business category. I expected a couple downloads, but nothing major to my surprise the first day it finished #66 wow in the top 100 in Business(Free). Later that day I was looking at AdMob and was amazed to see the requests it was making, so I knew there were people downloading it. I wake up to find out it made it to the #11 spot, I didn't see this coming so thanks for making this app so popular! I don't see it sitting in the top 25 for long, but it was nice to have made it there.

Once again thanks foreclosurelistings.com for being so great to work with, and I can't wait to see possible upgrades and updates we might have for everyone in the future.
